Plan, develop, and implement engaging science lessons aligned with state standards and district curriculum.
Teach concepts in life, physical, earth, and environmental sciences using a variety of instructional strategies.
Create a safe, organized, and effective learning environment that promotes scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
Conduct hands-on laboratory investigations and demonstrations while ensuring compliance with all laboratory safety procedures.
Instruct students in the scientific method, data collection, analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, behavioral, and learning needs of all students.
Integrate technology, digital resources, and STEM activities to enhance science instruction.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, laboratory reports, projects, quizzes, and tests.
Analyze assessment data to monitor student progress and adjust instructional practices accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic performance.
Establish and enforce classroom expectations that promote respect, responsibility, and positive student behavior.
Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, academic concerns, and classroom activities.
Collaborate with grade-level teams, science department members, instructional coaches, and administrators to improve instructional practices.
Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives.
Prepare students for district and state science assessments by providing standards-based instruction and targeted interventions.
Encourage inquiry-based learning through experiments, engineering challenges, collaborative projects, and scientific discussions.
Incorporate literacy and mathematics skills into science instruction to strengthen cross-curricular learning.
Maintain science equipment, laboratory materials, and instructional resources in a safe and organized manner.
Supervise students during classroom activities, laboratory investigations, field experiences, and other assigned duties.
Foster curiosity, environmental awareness, and responsible scientific practices among students.
Model professionalism, ethical conduct, and continuous learning while supporting the school's mission, vision, and goals.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.
