Role Description

This is a paid remote internship opportunity for a Social Media Marketing Intern supporting multiple brands under Virentes Hospitality Group, including Shipley Do-Nuts, Sweet Paris, and Saigon Hustle. This role is ideal for a creative, organized, and trend-aware individual looking to gain hands-on experience in hospitality marketing, social media management, and digital brand growth.

The Social Media Marketing Intern will assist in executing day-to-day social media operations across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other digital platforms. Responsibilities include content scheduling and posting, community engagement, supporting content creation initiatives, researching trends, assisting with partnerships and influencer outreach, and contributing creative ideas to support overall brand strategy.

This internship is designed for someone passionate about marketing, hospitality, and digital storytelling who is eager to grow their experience within a fast-growing, family-oriented hospitality group. High-performing interns may have the opportunity to transition into future full-time marketing and creative roles within the company as our brands continue to expand.

Essential Functions

Social Media Management & Engagement

  • Assist with daily social media posting and scheduling across multiple brand platforms.

  • Monitor and engage with followers by responding to comments, messages, reviews, and community interactions in a timely and professional manner.

  • Help maintain brand voice and consistency across all digital channels.

  • Support social media calendar planning and campaign execution.

  • Stay current on social media trends, viral content, platform updates, and emerging digital strategies.

Content Creation & Brand Support

  • Assist in capturing and organizing photo and video content for social media campaigns, promotions, and brand storytelling.

  • Support the creation of engaging short-form content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, stories, and promotional campaigns.

  • Collaborate with marketing leadership to brainstorm creative campaign ideas and seasonal initiatives.

  • Help source user-generated content and assist with influencer and community partnerships.

  • Assist with copywriting for captions, promotional posts, and digital marketing materials.

Strategy & Marketing Support

  • Support the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple hospitality brands.

  • Assist in tracking social media performance metrics and preparing engagement reports.

  • Research competitors, industry trends, and local market opportunities to support growth initiatives.

  • Contribute creative ideas to improve audience engagement, brand awareness, and customer loyalty.

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and assist with digital marketing strategy development.

Team Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with internal teams and restaurant leadership.

  • Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, creativity, and attention to detail.

  • Adapt quickly in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial hospitality environment.

  • Take initiative on projects while remaining open to feedback and mentorship.

  • Represent Virentes Hospitality Group brands positively across all online interactions.

Qualifications

  • Interest in social media marketing, hospitality, branding, or digital communications.

  • Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging social media platforms.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Creative mindset with an eye for trends, aesthetics, and engaging content.

  • Basic experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar editing/design tools preferred.

  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines and priorities.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.

  • Experience creating personal, academic, or brand social media content is a plus.

  • Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or related field of study preferred but not required.

  • Passion for food, hospitality, and community-driven brands.
