BayCare is currently in search of our newest Practice Operations Consultant - Customer Experience and Safety who provides project management, coordination, implementation, and optimization of medical group initiatives.

*This is a traveling position primarily within Pinellas County*

  • Status: Full Time
  • Shift Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Shift Days: Monday thru Friday
  • Location: Tampa, FL
  • Weekend Work: None
  • On Call: No

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all BayCare and BayCare Medical Group departments and leadership are actively involved in projects and project timelines are maintained.
  • Monitors adherence to policies and protocols related to the clinical support and administrative workflows at all medical group site locations.
  • Responsible for assessment of existing clinical and clerical workflows and recommending opportunities for improvement that results in efficiencies, compliance, quality, and/or safety.
  • Anticipates and identifies potential legal, regulatory, efficiency or operational issues in workflows and partners with appropriate department leaders to propose new clinical or clerical workflows.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining training materials, and conducting training at the medical group locations including but not limited to patient management system, electronic medical record system, clinical or clerical workflows.
  • Provides skills assessment based on position requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 3-5 years in medical group operations, clinical or clerical workflow implementation or healthcare consulting or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job.

Other Requirements:

Strong operational knowledge, excellent communication and a high degree of adaptability within a matrixed health system environment.
