Role Summary

As a Key Holder, you will play an important leadership role in creating an exceptional experience for every patient who visits a Fluent dispensary. As one of the first points of contact for patients, you will help create a welcoming and professional environment while providing knowledgeable, personalized product recommendations.

Working closely with the store team, you will review patients' medical needs and recommendations and help connect them with appropriate Fluent products. You will also support daily store operations, ensure compliance with company and state regulations, and help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient dispensary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately and efficiently complete opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and securing company funds.
  • Deliver exceptional patient experiences in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment.
  • Open and close the dispensary, conduct daily inventory activities, receive deliveries, and secure the facility as required.
  • Activate and deactivate security systems and alarms according to established procedures.
  • Conduct batch inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Engage patients in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner while providing personalized recommendations and solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Fluent's product offerings and the benefits and appropriate use of medical cannabis.
  • Communicate operational issues and updates to the Director of Retail Operations, General Manager, and/or Assistant General Manager.
  • Address patient questions, concerns, and complaints proactively and professionally, with patient retention and satisfaction as priorities.
  • Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, including creating and updating patient profiles and processing transactions.
  • Gather patient feedback and communicate relevant questions, concerns, and opportunities to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain daily compliance with all dispensary policies, including state and local regulations, security and access protocols, inventory procedures, dress code, scheduling requirements, and HR policies.
  • Support other store functions and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience as a Fluent Curator.

Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional dispensary and office environment. The role routinely involves using computers, phones, tablets, point-of-sale systems, photocopiers, filing systems, and other standard office equipment.

Employees may be asked to assist in other areas of the business based on operational needs. Teamwork and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality service are essential to the success of both the employee and the company.
Physical Demands

The physical requirements described below are representative of those necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.

The employee must regularly be able to speak and hear and frequently stand for extended periods, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects and equipment, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires regular use of an iPad, laptop, desktop computer, and other technology for extended periods while reviewing information and providing recommendations and assistance to patients.

Employees must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The position may occasionally require lifting or moving moderate amounts of weight, generally less than 25 pounds.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Position Type & Expected Hours

This position may require extended hours, including frequent evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business and operational needs.
Required Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or higher.
  • At least 2 years of sales experience.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience.
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous dispensary or medical cannabis industry experience.
Additional Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age, as required by applicable state law.
  • Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check.
  • Must comply with all applicable state and local cannabis regulations and company policies.
