Job Description

The Musculoskeletal Division of the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida (Mayo Clinic Florida) is seeking a full-time, fellowship-trained musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologist to join our team of 7 sub-specialty focused musculoskeletal radiologists. This is an incremental position that was approved to keep pace with increasing MSK imaging volume. The position is full-time and 100% MSK, ideal for an academically ambitious candidate with strong diagnostic skills in all facets of musculoskeletal imaging including radiography, MR, CT, and US. The Musculoskeletal Radiology Division closely supports colleagues in Orthopedic Surgery, Sports Medicine, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Rheumatology, Oncology, and Pathology.

The candidate will be expected to perform routine image-guided procedures (e.g. joint, bursa, and tendon sheath injections/aspirations, bone and soft tissue biopsies, etc.) and will also be expected to actively participate in resident and fellow education. Mayo Clinic Florida offers 2 MSK radiology fellowship positions annually and has a highly regarded radiology residency program with 7 residents annually. This is an onsite position with a rotating optional "work-from-home" shift. Call is evenly distributed and sub-specialty only with overnight emergency studies covered by a dedicated Emergency Radiology Division. Note that spine cross-sectional imaging and spine procedures are handled by the Neuroradiology Division.

Our department's equipment is robust and includes the latest 3T MRIs, a 7T clinical MRI, PET/MRI, dual-energy CT, photon-counting CT, and weight-bearing CT. Candidates with specific interests in peripheral nerve imaging, MR imaging, CT imaging, artificial intelligence applications in MSK radiology, and clinical research are a plus.

The Department consists of over 90 radiologists, 6 physicists, 30 residents and fellows. The Florida campus is currently in the midst of substantial growth and expansion, with construction currently underway to increase the size of the Mayo Clinic Florida Hospital by approximately 40% as well as the installation of the first carbon ion therapy facility in North America.

Practicing subspecialist MSK radiologists as well as fellows currently completing their fellowship programs are encouraged to apply.
