$24-$48 ph, Commensurate on experience

A Licensed Commercial Electrician installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical systems in commercial buildings such as offices, schools, hospitals, retail centers, manufacturing facilities, and industrial sites. This role requires knowledge of electrical codes, blueprints, wiring systems, and safety procedures to ensure electrical systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install electrical systems, wiring, conduit, panels, lighting, and equipment in commercial buildings
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and equipment malfunctions
  • Install and maintain breakers, transformers, switches, outlets, and control systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
  • Test electrical systems using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on construction projects
  • Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

Work Environment:
  • Commercial construction sites
  • Existing commercial facilities
  • Indoor and outdoor work environments
  • May require overtime, weekends, or on-call work depending on project demands

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program is preferred
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician licensed
  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial electrical experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of NEC and commercial electrical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods

Compensation: $24.00 - $48.00 per hour
