Under the supervision of lead classroom teacher and special education team the Instructional Para provides direct instructional, behavioral, and personal support to a student in a self-contained. Assists with academic activities, implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), behavior support strategies, and daily living skills. Supports the student's health care needs as outlined in medical and educational plans, which may include monitoring health status, assisting with mobility, feeding, toileting, medication-related procedures as authorized, and responding appropriately to health-related concerns.
