Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel
The Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.
JOB PURPOSE: To clean and maintain all carpets in public and associate areas, in
accordance with Omni Standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Shampoo and spot clean all hotel carpeted areas.
Operate and maintain carpet cleaning machinery and supplies
Shampoo lobby and public area carpets.
Shampoo elevator carpets, guestroom and hallway carpets
Reporting all damages to carpeted areas.
• Responsible for rotation of oriental rugs.
• Proper documentation of scheduled cleaning cycles.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, specifically weekends and holidays.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred (hotel preferred, although other
environmental services positions will be considered).
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Good communication, time management, follow-through and customer services skills
are required.
• Must be able to work around a variety of chemicals and be able to respond to hazardous
situations
ENVIRONMENT & POSITION ANALYSIS:
Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without
assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires
repetitive motion.
