In-Home Caregiver for Fall Risk Client

Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced in-home caregiver to assist an elderly client with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with seniors, particularly those who are fall risks and require hands-on-assistance with mobility and personal care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including:
  • Bathing and personal hygiene
  • Dressing and grooming
  • Toileting assistance
• Provide constant supervision and fall prevention support; client must be accompanied at all times (e.g. bathroom, kitchen and around the home)
• Assist with safe transfers and ambulation (bed, chair, bathroom, shower etc.)
• Support the client with showering and post-bathing care
• Prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, tidying, dishes, etc. )
• Monitor and report any clinical or behavioral changes to the agency
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands using the caregiver's own vehicle

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a caregiver
• Experience with fall-risk patients and mobility assistance is required.
• Ability to safely assist with transfers and walking support
• Compassionate, patient and attentive demeanor
• Strong communication skills
• Must have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and a clean driving record
• Ability to follow the care plan and report concerns accurately.
• CNA or HHA certification
• CPR certification

Schedule:

Daily 8am-8pm including weekends.
