- Title: Histologist
- Facility: St. Joseph's Hospital - Tampa, FL
- Schedule: PRN
- Shift: Varies between 4:00am-12:30pm, 9:00am-6:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of tissue processing from fixation through final slide preparation
- Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and special histology techniques
- Maintain laboratory files, records, and documentation required by regulatory agencies
- Clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments
- Monitor and restock laboratory supplies to support workflow needs
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance across all histology processes
- Support timely preparation of specimens for diagnostic use
- Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- ASCP Certified Histotechnician (HT)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Completion of a Histotechnology program or related technical training
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Laboratory-related experience
- Additional ASCP certification
