We are seeking a Facilities Lead who will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, safety, organization, and operational readiness of the company's manufacturing facility and surrounding grounds. This role provides hands-on leadership in facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, contractor coordination, safety compliance, and general operational support within a high-performance marine manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of leading facility-related initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, company policies, and environmental requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient operation that supports production, quality, and overall business continuity.

Facilities & Maintenance Operations
- Oversee daily maintenance and repair activities across the facility, including office areas, production spaces, exterior grounds, and common areas.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules for facility systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
- Perform or assist with minor repairs involving plumbing, lighting, doors, painting, flooring, fixtures, and general building upkeep.
- Monitor facility conditions and ensure timely resolution of maintenance concerns.
- Coordinate waste removal, scrap management, and facility cleanliness initiatives.
- Assist with facility improvement projects, layout adjustments, and operational support needs.
- Support setup and breakdown for company meetings, events, inspections, and operational activities.
Equipment & Operational Support
- Monitor condition and organization of facility tools, maintenance equipment, and operational assets.
- Coordinate repairs, service calls, and vendor scheduling for facility systems and equipment.
- Support production departments with operational facility needs when required.
- Assist with forklift, trailer, and facility equipment coordination as operationally needed.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, vendor documentation, and repair tracking reports.
- Track facility-related expenses, supply usage, and operational service needs.
- Assist with preparation for inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Document incidents, corrective actions, and facility concerns as required.
Leadership & Coordination
- Provide direction and daily work coordination to Facilities personnel or support staff.
- Prioritize work orders and maintenance requests based on operational impact and urgency.
- Communicate effectively with department leaders regarding project status, repairs, and operational disruptions.
- Promote accountability, teamwork, and professionalism across the facility team.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on organization, efficiency, safety, and facility presentation.
Safety, OSHA & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Conduct routine facility safety inspections and identify corrective actions for hazards or unsafe conditions.
- Support implementation and maintenance of facility-related safety programs, including PPE compliance, emergency response readiness, lockout/tagout awareness, chemical storage, and housekeeping standards.
- Coordinate with management regarding facility-related compliance initiatives and corrective maintenance actions.
- Ensure all work areas remain organized, accessible, and compliant with company operational standards.
- Assist with contractor safety orientation and oversight while vendors are on-site.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of facilities, maintenance, operations, or industrial support experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and general maintenance practices; OSHA 30-Hour General Industry certification preferred.
- Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, marine, or production environments preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment safely.
- Forklift certification or ability to become certified preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual, English/Spanish.

WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- May require occasional work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, or outdoor areas.
- Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
- Occasional overtime, weekend work, or emergency response support may be required based on operational needs.
