About the Role
The Estimator prepares timely,accurate estimates for Winter's projects in the Jacksonville area and helpskeep the bidding process running smoothly. Reporting to the Director ofPreconstruction, this role works closely with local subcontractors, Operations,and the preconstruction team to deliver complete, competitive bids as Wintergrows its presence in Northeast Florida.

About the Role
The Estimator prepares timely,accurate estimates for Winter's projects in the Jacksonville area and helpskeep the bidding process running smoothly. Reporting to the Director ofPreconstruction, this role works closely with local subcontractors, Operations,and the preconstruction team to deliver complete, competitive bids as Wintergrows its presence in Northeast Florida.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and estimates for all scopes of work
- Solicit subcontractor bids and build relationships with quality subcontractors in the Jacksonville market, keeping the subcontractor database up to date
- Manage bid documents, bid day setup, and tracking of bid results
- Coordinate with Operations to make sure estimates are complete, and share buyout results and bid feedback with subcontractors
- Assist with presenting estimates to owners and architects
Qualifications
- 0-3+ years of commercial estimating experience with a general contractor
- Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing estimates across multiple trades
- Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software
- LEED accreditation, or willingness to obtain it
- Based in the Jacksonville, FL area or willing to relocate; familiarity with the local subcontractor market is a plus
