Join our dynamic and growing Advancement & Partnerships team as we work together to power partnerships and transform lives through philanthropy.
Together, we can unleash the potential of people and ideas to positively change the world. Your efforts on our team will help us to build the University for the Future.
The Opportunity:
UCF Athletics is one of the nation's premier Division I athletics programs, and philanthropy plays a critical role in sustaining its competitive and academic excellence. The ChargeOn Fund is the official fundraising program for UCF Athletics, supporting scholarships, facilities, and program operations across all sports.
We are seeking an Assistant Director of Athletics Annual Giving to join the ChargeOn Fund team. In this role, you will lead donor acquisition strategies, manage fundraising programs, and support events that fuel our athletics mission. This is an exciting opportunity for a fundraising professional who thrives in a fast-paced, sports-driven environment and is passionate about connecting donors to a cause they love.
Responsibilities:
Fundraising Program Management
Oversee signature donor programs, including the Knightmare Society (a donor recognition and engagement initiative) and the Knight Walk Legacy Brick Program, with a focus on growing participation and increasing giving levels.
Digital & Text-Based Fundraising
Design and execute digital advertising and text-based fundraising campaigns to attract new donors, re-engage lapsed supporters, and retain current contributors.
Gameday Engagement
Manage in-game fundraising and cultivation activities at UCF sporting events — including football, basketball, and baseball — to identify and develop prospective donors.
Donor Discovery & Outreach
Conduct outreach through multiple channels (phone, email, digital, in-person) to identify and qualify annual giving prospects for further engagement.
Events & Stewardship Support
Assist the annual giving leadership team in executing fundraising and donor stewardship events. Support premium gameday hospitality operations to create exceptional experiences for donors and prospects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education fundraising or athletic development.
Proven track record in donor acquisition, direct marketing, or annual giving programs.
Familiarity with digital platforms and/or text-based fundraising tools.
Experience managing donor recognition or stewardship programs.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Comfort working in an event-driven environment, including evenings and weekends during athletic seasons.
Experience with Blackbaud CRM or fundraising database platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar).
A passion for college athletics and an understanding of the role philanthropy plays in supporting student-athletes.
