Responsibilities

Serves in the absence of the Assistant Dean/Director of OAS. Performs all duties as assigned. Responsible for assisting in the management, administrative direction, and coordination of activities for OAS Transportation and front desk/customer service operations. Responsible for direct supervision of transportation and front desk USPS staff and applicable OPS and/or FWS.

Responsible for assisting in developing and enhancing campus outreach and managing relationships with campus resource partners. This includes, but is not limited to, training, OAS social media and publications, bulk notifications to students, coordination of DAW activities, OAS scholarship programming, and assisting in overseeing programs and services.

Understands applicable policies and procedures and applies disability-related and higher education case law as necessary. Reviews documentation and collaborates with students to determine applicable and reasonable accommodation. Including but not limited to, academic, housing, dietary and transportation. Serves as a liaison between faculty and students by facilitating the interactive process and resolving concerns to ensure compliance. Keeps current and detailed case notes within OAS AIM system.

Assists the Assistant Dean/Director in establishing, maintaining, and assessing OAS policies, practices and procedures. Assists in awareness of and resolutions to concerns with physical access (e.g., Maxient Reports, etc.). Coordinates training and set up of equipment for students using captioning (CART) for communication access. Assists in planning and executing accommodated testing during Finals Week. This includes alternative schedules and extended hours.

Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, coverage of other OAS or DSST roles and responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and four years experience related to academic and/or student services or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to
eight years.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's preferred.
